Description

Captain Sharpe finds himself in Cadiz, where his aid is enlisted by diplomat Henry Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington's younger brother. It seems embarrassing love letters written by Wellesley have fallen into crooked hands, and it would be prudent to steal them back. More problematic is the approaching French army, which threatens to obliterate its outnumbered English foe. Led by Sir Thomas Graham, Sharpe and his men soon find themselves embroiled in one of England's greatest victories.
